School reopening bill requiring in-person option passes legislature, goes to governor
Dawn Baumgartner Vaughn, News & Observer – The North Carolina state legislature sent the governor a bill that would require the state’s K-12 public school districts to offer in-person learning again, after nearly a year of remote learning for some students. The House voted 77-42 on Wednesday. Earlier versions of the bill passed both the Senate and House with bipartisan support.
